Dame Vera Lyn – Flypast for her funeral

I know this has nothing to do with engraving but thought this was too important to ignore. I walked up our lane this morning to the local fields and took some photos of the amazing flypast of a Spitfire and Hurricane, as they flew over the village of Ditchling for Dame Vera Lyn’s funeral which is also the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

It was really moving and made you think how much was sacrificed in the World Wars by so many, when everyone seemed to have more morals, principles and stoicism. And nowadays, we can’t even be bothered to pick up our litter or stay indoors without whingeing.
